Every brand is unique, and every brand has a story to tell — this is my core philosophy at Mike O’Leary Photography. If you’re passionate about your business and you recognise the value of high quality photography, then I want to hear your story.
The first step in my process is to listen. If you’ve a clear vision, then I will be your conduit — an Image Wizard, if you will. On the other hand, if you’re a bit unsure of what you need or want then, like some sort of Photographic Co-Pilot, I can help steer you in the right direction.
What do you offer a client that other photographers may not? Every one of my clients gets personal attention and I take great pride in my relaxed, approachable style.
Do you work with anyone else? Depending on the job, I work with a close network of other creatives, including web developers, copywriters, graphic designers, and creative directors in order to fulfill the needs of my clients.
Are you affiliated with any professional organisations? Yes! Since 2018, I've held a Licentiate with the Irish Professional Photographers and Videographers Association (IPPVA).
What does it mean to be part of the IPPVA? It means that my photography has passed the high level of technical and creative standards demanded by Ireland's only professional organisation for photographers and videographers. It also means that I am held to a code of ethics, I am tax compliant, and I'm fully insured.
Have you received any recognition from the IPPVA? My photography has received several awards, and in 2021 I was asked to join the Council of the IPPVA which was a huge honor for me.
Favorite photographers: Sebastião Salgado, Annie Lebowitz, Frans Lanting, William Eggleston.

Pet peeve: Loud sudden noises and quiet repetitive noises.
Favorite niece or nephew: Whichever one is reading this sentence.
Least favorite animal: Leopard. Beautiful animals...except when they're running at you (true story).

What am I reading this week? Foundation by Isaac Asimov
